“I am a breast cancer warrior, devoted wife, and loving mother. Today, I stand strong, grateful, and filled with hope.”
“My journey began on January 16, 2023, when i was diagnosed with breast cancer after being misdiagnosed five times over the course of about seven months. I was only 28 years old, with a 3-year-old daughter and an amazing husband who loves me dearly. I was shocked that this was my reality, but I knew I had to face it head-on.
The diagnosis led to a lumpectomy to remove the tumor, and my surgeon confirmed it was cancer. The news was hard to hear, but I knew I had to be strong ~ for myself and my family.
We began 16 rounds of the most aggressive chemotherapy in February, followed by 31 rounds of radiation and eventually a double mastectomy. By the end of 2023, I had completed my treatments and was cleared in January 2024.
However, on March 26, 2024 I faced another challenge when the cancer returned, this time in my brain. I underwent brain surgery on April 16, 2024. It was a tough road, but I felt God’s presence carrying me through every step.
In June 2024, I completed whole brain radiation, another hurdle that I managed to overcome by the Grace of God.
Now, after all the ups and downs, the doctors have given me the all-clear following my scans. We will continue to do regular check-ups, but I’m feeling hopeful and blessed to be where i am today.
