The Sunset Chaser's Greatest Fight

"Liz has spent her life being the lighthouse for others. Now, she needs us to be her shore."

A Critical Threshold

Lizelle Knott has spent most of her life fighting cancer with a smile and a warrior's spirit. But now, she faces a hurdle she cannot clear alone.

The cancer has progressed in her liver, and she requires a new chemotherapy treatment that her medical aid has refused to pay for. This refusal isn't because the treatment won't work, but because of bureaucracy. We are appealing to her community, her friends, and the public to help us raise the funds she needs to continue this battle.

✿ Meet Lizelle

Liz is a Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer thriver, a lymphoma survivor, and a "boy mom" to Grayson. Her journey with cancer began at just 16 years old. Since then, she has faced the disease seven times, including numerous chemo cycles, two liver resections, and the removal of her right kidney.

Liz in treatment
"Through the years I've come to accept that cancer, scans, and treatment will always be part of my world. But it certainly doesn't stop me from being a mommy, partner, or career woman."

The Woman Who Refused to Let Cancer Win

Liz never let her diagnosis define her limit to give. She became a voice for the voiceless, riding across South Africa with Cancervive to educate communities and spread hope. She also champions Project Flamingo, fighting to ensure women in public hospitals receive timely mastectomy surgeries and dignity packets.

Closer to home, she founded the Cancer Sisterhood Circle in Port Elizabeth, creating a safe harbour where women can breathe without explaining a thing. She also coordinates care bags for oncology patients at Livingstone Hospital, ensuring no one faces the cold hospital wards alone. She spent her life building a raft for others; now she needs our help to stay afloat.
